This past summer, I had an O2 simulater installed. I had an issue with the cel going on and off, depending on if I slammed the pedal. This is just an update to the $15 fix for the header cel.

The o2 sim works fine. In the first few weeks I had it, my cel would go on and off depending on how often/hard I slammed the gas pedal. Every time it went through this sequence (on/off) it be longer before it happened again. Its now at the point, where it hasnt came on in months (since summer), and I dont think it will ever come on again. I dunno if it just had to adjust itself to the sim, but the cel is gone, and has been gone for over 5K miles.

So if you want a cheap way to fix the cel, go for it.

probably just a spark plug anti fouler

as for your CEL, its good that its gone, but i will say...when i installed my key header, it didnt come on for 5k miles...then, while driving to michigan to meet up with dave, it came on driving down the freeway. there was traffic ahead, i tapped the brakes, and it came on

good luck with it

Yes its a spark plug antifouler. It think the difference between my cel and urs, was that I got mine maybe a day after I installed the header, not 5K miles later. It went on and off for the ffirst few weeks I had the antifouler, then it disappeared.

What specific product did you use ? Did you buy it online or in a regular store? Just curious
