Felix, good one. I had to scroll back up but I was sure you were talking about me.

I think total there was 25 cars (and probably nearly 35 people). Good amount of XDs, plenty of GKs, a couple RDs, and two Accents as well. All of the people were cool and it was pretty crazy because I only knew 5 people. Good to see Ilan and Bill again, it'd been since the B-more meet along time ago. Thanks for Jared (sp?) and Derek for the setup and everything. Thanks to all the people that said "I'll be there" and didn't show up... we all love you.

Kickball was fun, although I wish more of you would have played. Big ups to the red shirt crew that owned out there on the field.

There was more than enough people taking pics so although I actually took my camera with me this time I didn't bother to take any pics. Plus, people that want to see pics are the people that didn't show up anyway, poopheads.

Eh, Props to Derek more so than me. He was the one talking and updating and organizing most of this. I only stopped on at Red Robin a few times.

Thoughts for the next big meet/things that would be cool to do:
Trophies for best modded/longest trip/shortest trip
barbecuing/camping out at a park or something
grudge runs at an airpirt somewhere ALA HITH
if its at a restaurant, work in some type of sponsorship/group deal/flat rate
Sponsorships/prize items donated by local auto parts store perhaps?
Professional photographer to provide framed glossies of each person with their car
detailing party the night before somewhere.
get some t-shirts printed up for meet attendees
Dealership to come by with new vehicles/tchotchkes to give out
Call local radio stations and newspapers/TV stations, etc.

These are just some tentative ideas. Before attempting any, some careful research might be necessary. However, if we could pull a bunch of those items together...it'd be one F***in sweet Hyundai meet. It would be a fair bit of work though.

Of course, during the meet. It took me like ten minutes because I realized I needed to find, download and install a secure file transfer program and an image editor. Even more people showed up after that picture. It got impossible to fit all the cars in one photo. I'm terrible with names so I'll probably forget everyone. Now I know who SuperGLS, Ilan and BlackCasper are. There were so many to keep track of though - one XD2 with a supercharger, a nearly-turboed Accent, a second accent, a lot of nice-looking Elantras and Tibs. We got a brake-stand burn-out from a dude in an IS-300. Not sure if he pumped his fist or gave us the finger tho.

I had a good time there. It is so nice to meet everyone & learn all sorts of obscure fact about Elantra, Beta II etc..

Derek, the SMT is hardly scary at all. From what I showed you were the basic's. From there it gets alot more involved when you add in other features. (I.E. datalogging, ignition timing) Your brother in laws Accord isn't that fast. He could not keep up with me from a 1st gear pull to 3rd.
