Keep the black trim, i personally love the look. I suggest either Nightshading the side markers, or using vinyl tint.

The black trim is what seperates your GT from a GLS!

I agree ... the black trim is GT specific and it looks good!

Definitely keep the black trim - It breaks up the red nicely :)

I say keep the trim, adds a nice look and like exsailor said it breaks up the red nicely. Between the trim and the rims it has an audi-ish look to it (at least in my opinion)

Yep. Tint would help too, like mentioned.

it depends on the look you are going for honestly i break black trim down like this....if you want luxury look paint over the black...if you want a sportier look then leave it...it is audi ish looking for sure...cant tell btw sedan or hatch...cause imo for sure if its a sedan...gt or not...keep it looking cleaner and get rid of or paint over the black trim.

Not true. My GLS hatch has black trim.... the things that separate a GT from a GLS on outside appearance are wheels and fog lights.

Actually, I think it's all hatches. The only thing I'm not sure of is when they started offering the GLS hatch.

Hi Doohickie, welcome to the site.
In order to avoid confusion, we tend to refer to the 01-03 Elantra as XD, and the 04-06 Elantra as XD2.

The only thing I'm not sure of is when they started offering the GLS hatch.
We've had the GLS hatch here since 2000/2001. I'd assume you guys got the same deal over there.

I say keep the black trim. It looks good, and if you got it painted, then had some asshole open his door and *uc* it up, you'd be kicking yourself for getting it done. Definately get some tint on it though!

Keep the trim as is. I do agree to black out the side markers, the orange is yucky.
