I would go with either the Nitto Drag Radial, or the new Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials... That's right, I said RADIALS. They just hit the market, and have already been outlawed in most of the AX circuits. They are just that good. As for street tires, I am running the Yokohama AVS ES100's, and have been very happy with them.

Yeah, the BFGoodrich Drag Radial is being used on 9 second drag cars and is fully street legal, albeit it's got so little tread and such soft sidewall, you'd only want to mount it at home if it's not a long drive to the track.

BFGoodrich Drag Radials come in 205/50/15, that will fit on stock wheels.
Tirerack has the BFG drag radial in a 205/50-15, can you explain why this won't fit?

I have been around drag radials for a long time, and the BFG's tend to work better on the street than they do on the strip. If you are planning on doing some stoplight to stoplight runs, they'll be fine, but I have seen way too many cars (my old Camaro being one) blow them off at the line. My reccomendation would have to be the Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials. They are truely awesome.

Get some super glue and sprinkle it all over your tires... super sticky :znaika:

LOL... It might work for a second or two.

Wow, wow, wow, wait a minute. Too much traction and you could break your cv joints, or some other item. Traction is good, too much could actually hurt you.

While this is true, I don't think that it would hurt them too much unless you dumped the clutch at 4 grand or something like that.

Yeah but if you use that super glue idea, you might start to sniff the glue then who knows what will happen :smiley_ab

I found out a long time ago that super glue and rubber don't mix. Anyway, let's try to get back on topic here.

??? That would make a lot of smoke, but not a whole lot of traction.

No hyundai that i know of has had a stock axle fail due to traction or horsepower. The weak link is the diff. I know of an occasion where the diff failed and sent all 340 whp to one axle and snapped it, but that was due to the diff failing, not the axle. Your best bet for mild mods is the BF's. Get more serious and get MT later.
