I want to change out my rear turn signals from amber to red bulbs, but I can't find the red 1156 bulb's anywhere! I've looked at Pepboys, AutoZone, Orielly's, and even Ebay.

Has anyone else found the bulbs anywhere?

I don't know in the States where you could find those, but i've done that on my car already. Let me tell you this, it's way cooler then those amber light. The only thing is they kind of flash on the pink side. :D :D

I was at Pep Boys today... they sell LED turning lights for 7.99. I dunno how good they are, but they were LEDs.

hyunelan2 has it right. They are the only ones that I know of that will work right.

Yeah I saw the LED's, but didn't want to spend THAT much money on them, since you have to buy the load resistors with them. I was just hoping for a cheap $5 mod...

Thanks guys!

They also have incandescent colored bulbs. They are quite inexpensive.

If you don't find yourself those light, make them. Go to a hobby shop and buy translucente red paint (I'm not sur if i wrote it right tough, so let's call it clear red :D ). I know that Tamiya and Testor made them.

Testors makes a color called "turn signal red", and it is the tranluscent paint. However, it won't take the heat of the bulb... I tried it a long time ago on a dome light.
