ok so i ordered my zex kit off of ebay, and i was wondering how long would the stock clutch would last, the car is an 05gt with 26k on it, i was just wondering because i dont have the funds to upgrade the clutch just yet and i really wanna see what the nitrous will do when i get it delivered thanks

It depends on how big of a shot you run and much you use it. I would suggest you take it easy until you have the funds to buy a replacement clutch then when your clutch dies you have itright there to swap :)

It will never see 50k IMO, get rid of that spring thing NOW. That is unless you run just a 35 shot or only spray once in a blue moon.

ok well i just was gonna install when the kit came and see what i could do with the supplied jets and then when spring comes or even in a couple weeks i will be able to get another clutch in there so i can up the shot to 70ish hp, now what clutch would ya'll recommend, and should i budget to sneak in a light weight flywheel at the same time? thanks

The ACT street performance kit would hold it. Rated to 235lbs of torque.

a bit more torque than that ;P

Thats what ACT quoted me. Saying it would hold that amount with no problem at all. Ive got WAAYYYY to much clutch for my current power output, but I like it. :D

Ah. I'm just saying that when I purchased mine, my guy (Denis is his s/n on this forum) told me by experience he has seen cars hold like 250wtq. I know a turbo tiburon guy who had his setup made there that runs 12 psi-ish on a t3/t4 hybrid and to me it seems he might be pushing way over 230whp.

Denis if you read this thread correct me if i'm wrong.

yup it hold more then advertised,
but when abused a lot and very it will slip a bit
once cooled down it works nicely again thanks to their great "organic" disc

A few guys on this forum have that clutch or have had it in the past. From what I've heard it's good for the price. I'm thinking of getting that kit myself when it's time.

I really think the kit has a stock PP. Unless they took apart a stock pp and changed something, but somehow made it look 100% the same (springs on the side ect.)

one of my customer had one,
past 12psi on a low compression engine it slipped
not sure if it was the XTD or F1 racing, but both look the same anyway
stick with brand names ;-)
