Has anybody tried to use the stock header manifold as a turbo manifold?? Since it's a two piece has anybody welded a turbo flange on there?? I know on Honda's they use the CX manifold for SOHC's to make it a turbo manifold. Cheap and effective for boost on a budget. Just wondering cuase I know it's possible.

Alright, I pm'ed swifty see what he says. If not I'm cool with the OBX manifold, I got a guy who can weld like a champ and make me a downpipe because I know about the clearance issues with the alternator being there.

my beta2 from the junkyard came with a two piece manifold. once you unbolted the cat from the manifold, it was a very easy turbo manifold. the bolt pattern on the stock manifold was a basic 3 inch flange. so no welding or anything custom even needed to use it. i thought about going this route in my cheaper thoughts, but the fact it had a crack in it made me decide to pass on that idea.

I took the heat shield off this mourning and its a one piece. Looks like alot of cutting and welding in my future.

Dude I don't know. I have a buddy who worked as a hyundai parts guy and we had this whole debate over the one and two piece thing.
Proof:
The recall for the manifolds. Only the one piece manifolds are under the TSB, and the TSB applies to all XD's up to 2003. But I don't know about the tiburons. Could be different for some reason. Could be a SULEV thing. Could be a USA thing.

LOL, thanx guys. Great help, I took the heat shield off and saw that it was a one piece. They have a RD at the junkyard so I'll probably go get that piece of the manifold.
