well ive looked all over the web on vehicle/traffic laws for illinois and i cannot find a thing on the use or transport of nitrous, in colorado i know it is legal outside of the city to transport a 10lb bottle, but it is illegal in most cities to have the bottle hooked up. I heard that straight from a state trooper. But in illinois i dont know, can anyone shed some light on this?

I know in PA we recently passed a law IIRC that the only time you are allowed to have the bottle in the car with you is if you are traveling to or from a track.

You might have to have a hazerdous material permit to transport n2o.

No2 Is not a controlled substance in cali. as long as it is not hooked up they cant do a single thing. Also, if they can give you a ticket/jail time for a No2 bottle what says they cant lock you up for a can of whipped cream? LMFAO!

Everybody transports no2. It's a byproduct of combustion. N2O on the other hand can cause problems...

Over here they just say that nitrous is 100% legal if you have a switch to controll it manually (i.e. if it is WOT controlled you still need to have another killswitch, which EVERYONE does, because no one runs nitrous ALL the time... lol)

yeah i figured ill call the state pd and county+city cops to see, because if it is, im either selling it or looking into a permit
