Hatch strut

Hi, I have a 2002 Elantra GT. The right strut that helps lift the rear hatch seems to be leaking a bit of oil and has no lifting power. Is this covered by warranty? I haven't done anything to it, just from regular use.

5/60 warranty. Depends on when your car was sold from the dealer. 2002 could be out of warranty..

My Elantra did the same to both hatch struts after about two years of the five year warranty, and both were replaced without hesitation.
