I didn't know exactly where to start this but since I have racing in mind I thought I put it here. Mods and Admin feel free to move if in wrong area.
I was looking at the Hyundaiusa webpage and I saw the proving grounds on it, so like the nerd i am, i went to get an address or find out who runs it and what not. couldn't find any of that but thanks to a general location given by motortrend and google maps i found these photos. I don't know about yall but I would love to go around that track or even have a huge hyundai meet there with all years and models. I think it would be great for vendors like alpine, or even if kdmguy, kspec, or shark racing wanted to come from korea, with some of there products and shop cars to set up and see them in action. I know it would be great for the guys on the west coast but if was to happen I'd be willing to drive I-40 West a couple of days to be there
But this is just a thought. I mean look at the pics could you imagine racing on that?
From motor trend:
Groundbreaking on the 4300-acre facility, located 100 miles north of Los Angeles in the Mojave Desert, will take place later this year. The project is scheduled for completion in 2004 and will feature the construction of a 6.4-mile oval track, a Vehicle Dynamics Area (VDA), a vehicle-handling course inside the oval track, a paved hill road, and several special surface roads. A 30,000-square-foot complex for offices and indoor testing will also be constructed.
