View Full Version : how to hook up a piezo siren?

well i have a brand new piezo siren sitting at home and i want to hook it up to the alarm system. So does anyone know as to which wire do i tap into?

need to find the old siren. cut the wiring or splice off it and hook to the new.

well thats what my problem is does anyone know where the old siren is located?

Ya know, I've always wondered where that thing is... I just never really had a reason to search it out, but it would be helpful to know where it is.

Set off your car alarm and start looking for where it's coming from.

Might want earplugs though.

mine is located around the back of the engine driver side 03 gls.. hope that helps you a little.. I had a problem w/ mine a long while ago.. when i rained really hard it would go off ever so slightly.. It sorta sounded like an alarm going off w/ a dead/dying battery... Anyone else have this problem??

if you put really high draw on that line you might need to get a relay.. but if its nothing crazy you should be able to just tap right in. not sure where it is though
