Got into accident!

I was turning right into a friends driveway when all of a sudden a saw this van backing out onto me from another driveway... honked my horn but it was futile! Bam!

Then this lady has the nerve to say "you must be going so fast cuz i didnt see you!"

My reply was "how fast do you think I was pulling into a driveway... and look the driveway hasnt been shoveled so obviously I have to be going slow to get up that much snow". :mad:

Long story short I am furious cuz my baby is in the body shop. Good news is that the insurance says I am 100% NOT at fault. I have to drive a rental corolla around. I miss my elantra already!

well as long as nobody's hurt, it's all good. Sometimes not having your car makes you appreciate it that much more. I'm going through that now, drivign the wifes tuscon this whole week makes me so much more eexcited to get the car done this weekend.

damage is on the front passenger side. Bumper needs a face lift. fender needs to be done (no structural damage to the body, but paint damage). then wheel well plastic stuff is cracked. I am worried about my suspnsion and allignment though.

didnt get a chance to take a pic. the insurance man was there on site made his assessment and the car was towed to the body shop. I was picked up by the rental car, and an hour later got a call from insurance saying everything will be ok.

I am just so furious cuz who backs out without looking? geez!

So rental corolla for me... good thing its the weekend so i get to drive my wife's sonata.

Good thing you get a rental. now make sure you beat the SH!T out of that rental, thats what their made for. my buddy had a rental Kia Sportage and drove around campus with the ebrake on. then he would take it off and go like 50 in a 25 on campus and ebrake turn into parking spots. it was mad funny. sorry completely off topic, just make sure you take your frustration out on the the rental. o and you said something about there being snow...... EVEN MORE FUN TO BE HAD! haha.

Got my car back. those guys did a good job. awesome service too. they vacummed and steam even the inside of my car.

sorry man... no pictures. I didnt think about using my camera phone :mad:

the body shop guy told me that after they washed my car and got all the road grime and salt out, they noted a dent on my driver side fender. so did have to do some body work. Still nothing major though. But I am glad I have my car back.
