I just have to put this up. It is a picture that my Dad took of the Texas Capitol on Austin. I don't know how he is able to just "point and click" something like this. I keep telling him that he has a gift, but he doesn't believe it.

Very nice. That definitely doesn't look like point-and-click quality. Night photography isn't that easy to get right. I have a Canon Powershot A520 (probably $80 now) that gives you manual control of aperture, shutter speed and ISO sensitivity, etc. I've gotten some pretty darn good night shots, like that one, but never on the first try.

I will let him know. He is using a Canon Rebel Digital. I love the camera, but there is no way I could afford one. I will find some of his other amazing ones and post them up as well.

Thanks. I will tell him. I keep telling him that the needs to make a book with some of those shots. I think people would buy it. I know what you're talking about though, I could try to take a pic like that, and it wouldn't work.
