wireless surround sound...

so the apartment im living in isnt really great as far as being able to set up some surround sound and have it look good. where i have to arrange the furniture makes running wires and making it look good very difficult

ive been thinking about a wireless surround sound system...something i can just hang on the wall in the spots i want and have the base on my tv. what would be some good products to look into. i dont need it to be movie theatre loud, as i have neighbors, but something that would give me sound coming from all angles and not just from the tv would be good. not looking to drop a huge amount of cash either...anything below say 400-500$ would be good

I have seen some very affordable Pioneer units with the wireless rear surround. Also, there are some RCA units available in that price range. I have also noticed that Panasonic makes a lot of systems that are wireless ready. Circuit City has a few of those systems. Then all you you would need to do is buy the adapters.

yeah, after i posted this, i looked on best buy and saw the panasonic and it looked like a pretty good unit, now to see where i can get the best price...i think BB had it for 350, amazon.com 299 and CC 285...gonna check a couple others

I would think it's hardly noticable....espicially when talking about feet not miles?

I've been interested in something similar for a while now. I've been waiting for the prices to go down and they quality to go up. I haven't looked anywhere in over a year probably though.

I thought about a similar type system back when we were in the apartment a couple years ago. (I had conduit run for speaker cable in the walls of the new house though). I was always warry that I'd be changing batteries non-stop in the speakers. How's the battery life of these things?

Hey I have a sony DAVFX-900W it has wireless rear speakers, its a really good unit alittle on the pricy side i bought mine for $1000canadian, i think it was well worth it

the sony davfx 900 is not batery operated it plugs into the wall,thats why i thought it was a good system
