I'm in the process of putting a set of Polk MMC6500's in the doors and wanted to flush mount the tweeters. But the more I look at the size of them the more I wonder if the tweeters will fit in the sail panels(properly). If anyone can throw a few pics up so I can see that would be great or if anyone had any problems etc.
Also I want to run a single power wire from the battery to my deck through the firewall. Is there any hole or anything I can run it through without making a new hole?
Alight I just checked the DIY section again and found the DIY on running wires through the firewall. Not sure how I missed it. Can anyone still help me with the tweeter install. Deepest and widest tweeters you can mount in the sail panels?

The tweeter will NOT fit IN the sail panel, you will have to surface mount them if you want them there. Most people put them in the panel above the switches, like the OEM configuration. I could post a pic tommarow if you want, as I just went and bout the OEM panels from the dealer.

Yeah if you could post a pic that would be great. So you bought the oem panels to mount the tweeters in?

Here's a pic of mine (JBL 1"). Due to the odd shape of my surround it does not sit perfectly flush all the way around, but it is close and looks fine.

I have an '03 GLS that came with the base stereo setup, which was only 4 speakers, no tweeter in the panel like above. I bought the panels and tweeter grill from the dealer for around 40-50 bucks, and put my Memphis tweeters behind them.

Great thanks alot for the pic. I was thinking that the tweeter wouldnt fit quite perfect in the panel above the switch panel, so maybe i'll just get those panels from the dealer and try that out. Thanks for all the help!
