I was browsing ebay and came across and interesting supercharger for 159 dollars. Seems kind of wild to me. Can someone explain what this is and if its good or not? thank you

it might rob hp sence its getting in the way of air the engine should be pulling in on its own.

There is no way that fan can move enough air. Our engines are 2 liters, so that means that for every crank rotation, the car takes in 250 cc's of air. At 3000 RPM, thats 50 revolutions a second. So every second, 12.5 liters of air are going into the engine. A fan that moves that much will require more electical power than you car can put out. That fan will just impede the air flow with the possible exception of idle, and make your car slower will making that jack *** richer.

I think they sell these at Boat part stores for about half that. Still a dumb waste of money for an XD. Let some Civic fool waste his rice, er, money. Like NCspecV81 said, piece of sheee-yat.

Elantra2.001 pretty much covered it. Electric supercharger's just don't work. The rate at which the electric motor can spin the fan will not be fast enough to keep up with the N/A airflow, and even if it could, the benefits would be minimal.
Unfortunately, if you want to supercharge your car, it's going to cost you a lot more than that.

But it a whole 150CFM......... and our requirement is "12.5 liters" a sec. And if you put your arm out and flap you can make your car fly.:)
