Well a wrecked one at least. Its at one of the shops near my work so I went to check it out today. Its been hit in the front but its not that bad and I think the engine is still good he said that it starts. I was on a break so I didn't get a good look at it. The engine has about 1,000 miles on it if that. He told me that the owner of the car rear ended a min van. The dude is asking 2000 for the whole car. I know most the parts for the elantra can be swapped out for the tib parts engine seats ect. Do yall think its worth looking into? I am going to go talk to the dude again tomorrow and hopefully get some pic's and I will post them as soon as I get home from work.

i think if you were just worried about losing your car a month ago from a ticket and complaining about having to pay all these bills and having no money, you'd be a fool to drop 2k on a junk car for some seats and an engine

yea well now I have two jobs one working at a car shop for 6.15 an hour in the morning and my other job I work in the after noon and I make 7 an hour there not the best money but hey its money and I might be working for this dude soon so might be able to get it for less if he doesn't sell it. Also my elantra is paid off so I don't have to worry about that I did move out I'm living at a friends house for 75 a week *not bad considering I make 300-400 a week* and I'm not being stupid either about 25 to 50 bucks a week goes into my saving account and I got rid of that RX-7 a few days ago well I didn't get rid of it my friend has it and is paying me for it.

If he's trying to sell it for 2K and it hasn't sold, offer him 1.5.
Then it would be worth your while as you could take the things you want and sell all the good panels/trim/suspension/etc... on ebay and recoup probably the whole price.
Well worth a haggle me reckons.

Exactly.
There will be plenty of wrecked Tibs if you ever need one. Now isn't the time.

Yeah. You have yourself in a decent spot now as far as money goes. Don't blow it on a wrecked tib, since they will become cheaper and easier to find as years go on.

if you get it let me know the year, I may buy the tail lights from you, I could use a F/L set. He must have rear ended pertty damn hard to sell for that price.

Not sure the year I am heading out that way again tomorrow so I will get some pic's was running late for work so I couldn't stop by today :(. But the engine is a Beta II engine and the front is tore up thats why I'm kinda iffy bout it right now.
I will ask him tomorrow and if you want the taillights I will be looking to sell anything and everything *other than the engine and front seats* that I can off of it maybe I can get my money back ;)
I'm not trying to put my self in any money troubles but if I can get most the parts sold off of tib and send the body to a crusher I might be able to come out with a *free* beta II engine with only 1000 miles on it for the Xd and some "sporty" seats. I'm not jumping into anything right now but I am looking at my options
