hey i dont know how many of yall are familiar with clarions car but i recently bought it from him and was wondering about what i needa do and a little extra knowledge on what the current prob is......form what i understand.....the safcII cant provide enough fuel control to work the turbo over 5 psi on the stock ecu....that being said.......ive also been told that by putting in a unichip from alpine and a 5th injector and run it from a t connector in my fuel line.....then i will be able to get rid of the safcII and run the car at about 13 psi......tell me whatcha think anything will help : )

haha 13 psi... right
before blowing your engine, search about info on turbos and whatnot
if i were you i'd just buy an smt6 and itll give you much better tuning options and capability to tune yourself

the safc is capable but you have to take the time to program it correctly...there is a guy here locally that does it and has no problems with the hyundai ecu...but how he does it is beyond me at the moment.
i would have a secondary fuel rail made up and run a standalone

the SAFC is possibe to use to tune but very very tricky to use correctly and even then you'd have to constantly monitor it to watch to see if its going to mess up. do lots of research and decide what you want to do with the car, this will help you decide the route to go.

ok.....im confused....is it that im not getting enough fuel or i dont have a good enough computer to regulate the fuel.....or both?............that being said.......can the smt6 run an extra fuel setup?

ok, lets just say the truth. the safc sucks. its like trying to use a unicycle to go down a mountain.

hey i been readin up on stuff and would a boost controller be a wise thing to buy lol.......seems like its pretty important thing to have....because as of now i have to be super carefull on the throttle and from what i read i can set a boost controller to only put out so much boost......sound right?

you can only raise boost with your normal manual boost controllers

but can i set a boost controller to where i can apply however much throttle and it will only put out so much boost?

the lowest a boost controller will go, is whatever the wastegate itself is set for. all the boost controller does is lie to the wastegate pretty much. it leaks off a preset amount of air, so the wastegate itself still thinks its running at its designed setting (i.e anywhere from 6-9 psi in general)
