I just purchased two 12'in kickers for my car and I am waiting for them to come in the mail but I am not sure what kind of amp to get to power them. I am trying to keep it in the 120 or below price range. All I need is something to push the kickers with out worrying bout blowing the amp or the sub's.

Here is a link to the kickers that I bought

and I was looking at this amp but I'm not sure it might be to much power

I have talked to a few people but no one seems to help one person said a 300 watt amp another said 1200 so I am lost  any advice would be ALOT of help thanks.

since the subs are 150 each, you would want an amp that pushes a minimum of 300 to 350 watts. just make sure you dont crank the amp gain up too high--or else you will blow the subs. dont use a 1200 watt amp, you will forsure blow the subs, unless you leave the amp gain at practically nothing.

there is also an ohm calculator somewhere on this site. you should be able to wire both subs down to a 2 ohm load, therefore getting a bit more power out of a sub. so thats another thing to consider when making your amp purchace.

let me know if i can be of any more help. sometimes it takes me a few days to respond (my instant notifications dont work any more on this site????). you can also email me at 2loud4udb@comcast.net or get my number and give me a call. a few people on this site have it (j-son, kewlkat, evan938, cclnghtr, and a few others).
