2005 Mercedes CLK 320. $55,000. My friend is 26 yrs old, he paid cash... yep... I'm jealous. It was awesome to ride in... I think one of the best parts is all the motorized stuff (all the top and window peices) and the robotic arms that come out and hand you your seatbelt (not joking - it really does that).

Dude wheres the scrunchie on the rear-view mirror? For 55k I would have sprung for the C55 AMG. JFWY! Nice ride.

I'm definitely jealous of the 55K part too, but I'd never ever buy that car or any Mercedes.

M3.

Enough said, CLK is nice but for 55? Come on, M3 is beautiful and is, dare I say it's "the ultimate driving machine". Also, get some new rims, those stock wheels are a little mediocre in the looks department.

Of course it's not like I have that kind of cash so kudos to your friend (unless he has rich parents in which I have to say "spoiled")

If I remeber correctly he made some good decesions in the stock market.

he works in the market me thinks?

Nice ride, not particularly fond of the chrome stripping on those though

Yea, the money was his, not his parents. He's got a good job where he puts in plenty of long hours, plus some smart/lucky investment moves in the market. I agree there's a lot of other/better options out there for 55, but he wasn't budging from this one.

Nice to see people making it on their own. Some day hopefully I will be just like your friend.

I second that. That CLK looks too girly in my opinion. In any case, congrats to your friend because I could never afford a car like that, especially paid in cash.

Not dissing the M3 by any means - I love those, but isn't there a 3 yr. wait on those things? I remember hearing that somewhere.

Heh yeah but you cant put the CCS in the same category as these other bad boys :) But I really do love that car, and was actually considering it for my next car...

I like the Gray car too!! What is that? Almost looks like a Hyundai. (Is it?)

jbird88

Yes, it's a concept of the Tiburon Convertible.

Edit Oops, dragged my feet too long on hitting post.

So he did get it? Cool. I'm glad he got what he wanted, even all of us know he picked the wrong car, haha.
