I'm actually not sure where this question best goes, but we'll say it's an "audio" kinda thing. Anyway, does anyone know how this horn sounds? Cause I don't really care much for how the stock horn sounds. Tho I don't use it much cause I'm not one of those idiots that jumps on the horn first opportunity given.

i think it has a deep tone, and the stock horn sucks i'd rather shake my fist than use the horn.

It's only the low tone; to sound right you need both a low and a high tone.
It probably sounds like a horn off something like a Taurus (if you get both horns). If you want that kind of sound, just go to a salvage yard and buy a Taurus dual note horn (it's in the same area as the resonator is on an Elantra). You'll end up paying about $10.

PRODUCT INFORMATION:
- Direct replacement / plug and play
- A set contains of 2 horns (High and Low pitch sound)
- A lot louder than Tiburon stock horns
- Korean OEM product so great fitment and high quality product
- Very Easy Installation
- Popular upgrade in Korea
- Shipped by using Korea post regular mail
I purchased this set from KDM and they are great. Louder than the stock Tib horns and a much better (lower) tone. Will do wonders for the Elantra.
However, it's not a direct replacement for the Elantra because I believe the Elantra only has one horn. Is that correct? If so, you will need to do some additional wiring to connect both horns. If the Elantra has dual horns, then it is a direct replacement.

I'd just get one from a local auto parts store. Fiamm has some that are louder and more masculine than the stock horn. And for under $20.

Hmm, well all we have here is checker and I'm not sure if they have. Would doing some addtional wiring be hard? And as for the taurus horn...... I hate ford, and I hate taurus' even more and I'd never let a part from one of those boats anywhere near my car.

My mistake about the two horn thing... I looked at the pics and they all showed just the low note.
But still I think getting them locally, whether from a parts store or a salvage yard, is fine. That's what I did anyway...

im going with this one when i order my fogs im aorder this and wire everything thats behind the bumper up all at once.
There are peeps on here with the kdm and have said good things. Also other manufacturers offer dual not options and the people with them often swear by them. Personally i loved my caddy horn (tri-note). as much as ive thought about doing a nice oem upgrade or something, ive though about a junkyard part just a much. and yes, from the description the kdm product does include both horns.
as for wiring i havnt personally wired it but ive seen pics of others and it looks rather simple. ive seen 2 or 3 installs where the person just leeched of the main wire, split it to two and mounted it. in some cars you need a relay because of the higher draw, but as far as i know. no one here has had that problem..

My dad rigged up an air horn from a semi truck and mounted it crossways under the hood. It was incredible!
I'm happy with my WOLO horns ... people not only get the hell out of the way, they turn around to see what the hell is honking at them.
WOLO, thats the company i was thinkin of! lol
yeah theres a few people on here with those, and they can be had easily around the web. They are on my "crap i want" list heh
