Did anyone else see the WRX? Eww.com.
It's so plain and not WRX-like at all. Don't even get me started on the 5 door version. Looks like a bigger version of the Daewoo Lanos from a couple years ago.

Then there is the Ford Flex, which will be taking the spot of the Freestyle (man, that sure lasted a long time). The Flex looks like a wagon'ed out version of the Edge.

The Infiniti G37. I like it, but I think I still like the G35 better.

There was some other cars announced as well... new Liberty (boxy), new Tribeca (less ugly, more boring), some small Chevy concepts (small and not so attractive.
More tomorrow.

The only vehicles I am curious about are whatever it is that Kia has under wraps till later today and the Suzuki SX4 sedan. Otherwise, there isn't a dang thing that interests me.
And the WRX is Fugly!

Just because you can't go to it yet doesn't mean stuff isn't happening. All the cool stuff happens yesterday and today.

Funny you mention the 5dr WRX and the Daewoo Lanos. I made the same connection myself. Unfortunately the new WRX will probably not sell well because it is much more expensive than the Lanos. The previous gen WRX looked 1000 times better.

Well the Lanos was never on the same level as the Impreza. I was saying from a looks standpoint only.
Kia also announced a production car based of the Soul concept.
Kia Motors America says it will add the Soul crossover to its lineup in 2008. The Soul was originally unveiled as a concept car during the 2006 Detroit show.
"The Soul's aggressive and youthful styling is raising the bar for vehicles in its segment, and we are excited that it will be joining the ever-expanding Kia lineup in 2008," said Len Hunt, executive vice president and COO of KMA. "The flexibility, function, and utility this vehicle provides, as well as its dynamic appearance, further demonstrate Kia's commitment to producing vehicles that create passion with consumers."
At the 2006 Detroit show, Kia introduced the Soul concept, which bears a pun in its name - a play on Kia's home city, Seoul. The Soul concept showed an upright cabin similar in layout to that of the Scion xB, though it's much less utilitarian and more stylized.
2008 Kia Soul Features of the concept included B-pillar-less and rear-hinged back doors (called "freestyle doors" here) that allowed more cargo and passenger ease, and the rear liftgate is claimed to have the flexibility of a backpack, with a fold-out pouch area for a wetsuit or muddy boots.
The Soul concept was powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with five-speed manual transmission, and back then, TheCarConnection.com was told that if such a vehicle were to be produced that it would use a platform readily adapted from one of Kia's existing small cars.

Yep, the most recent issue of Motor Trend had some stuff on them.
Personally, I think that Ford Flex is about as butt ugly as every other box shaped vehicle out there.
The 2008 WRX looks, to me, like a Camry with a hood scoop. However, Mitsu toned down the Evo X styling too which is a shame.

Out all the manufactures in that building, I think Hyundai had the most impressive concept/new car with the Genesis! I was VERY impressed with that car!

The only thing I can guess is that the new scooby styling is meant to not stand out as easily on the road (from the cops). Is there an STI?
The G37 looks a bit Lexus-like in the front; I too prefer the G35.
