While I was England I gutted my first cat and never got a Cel light, but know that I am Back In California and I keep getting a Cel (P0422- Main Catalyst Efficiency Below Threshold (bank 1)). Which is normal, I actually don't understand why it never happed in England, the only thing I can think of was the difference in temperature. Anyways to sum this up I was wondering if any one ever got a hold of a working Oxygen Sensor Simulator?

Try these guys:

I have no experience with their product, but it seems like a no-nonsense company.

I been thinking about making one out of a resistor like this guy did.http://www.rodney.chalker.com/o2_simulator.htm

I will be trying bynstrom's suggestion very soon. $35 and guarenteed? Got to try it

Let us know how it goes for 25 plus shipping might be worth it compared to the headache of trying to figure out how to make one.

I have the resistor splice on my car, and it works perfectly! When I installed the 4-2-1 and downpipe I had no cats at all. With resistors spliced into the wiring of both o2 sensors the car ran just like normal, no CEL. Now I have one hi-flow cat, and I still have yet to throw a CEL.

Does your car need o2 sensor data to run properly? Or are their purpose to just let you know if either an o2 sensor goes out, or if your car is polluting for whatever reason (cat weant bad?) so having the o2 sensors not plugged into anything and splicing resistors in them won't make a bit of difference other than that you won't be able to know if your cat weant bad or not? Also I noticed how some people get there setup to work then after 5000 miles it finally turns on, can't you just reset the ecu every 5000 miles and get rid of the check engine light problem? My last question is how does the o2 sensors hold up when you turbocharge your car, are there going to be things you have to do to get around having a check engine light going on with this also? Thanks

Why both sensors? The first sensor is important it helps the ECU control your fuel. Also have always read that you are not supposed to mess with the first sensor just the second one because all it does is tell your ECU if your cat is operating properly. Anyways what type of resistor did your use and what wires did you splice it into?

yeah, which resistor did you use? where did you put it?
I tried putting a 1/4W 1Mega Ohm resistor in-line on the Black wire, and it didn't work.

I found this site that tells you how to make one but it seems a little more complicated than the resistor mod I am looking for.
