I work close to an international comercial Port and while leaving work I saw this; 2 CRDI Tuscons and a CRDI Santa FE. These are to be exported to the Island of Tortola. They were transporting them from one pier to another for export.

These are not available in the US or PR market. Was weird seen them on the streets and smelling the burned diesel.

Sorry about the quality of the Tucson pics.

Awww, sucks you guys don't get those. CRDI are actually quite nice engines, and the new diesel Accent... That's great one! Drove one, it's engine is actually almost better than my stock Elantra's.

The Tech teacher up at the Eastern Regional Training Center said that Hyundai does not plan on marketing the diesel in the states due to cost/profit margins or something like that.He also said that there are a few models in Hawaii that are electric, hydrogen, and ethanol powered. They aren't looking to relese the electric one due to the high cost of maint. So we may see a ethanol or hydrogen model come out into production in the future

Yeah, what he said.

Thanks for the post. You should have hijacked the Santa Fe though and then sold it on eBay, haha.
