no, its got a clean title. its well worth the money to fix up properly and sell it in spring 2008. The damage is all cosmetic, it runs and drives great.

nice man. how much did you pick it up for? give some details (mods, mileage). also, have a shop check out the forks. make sure they are straight and true. also check the fork seals for any leakage. looks like a pretty good frontal hit. was it high sided or low sided? hard to tell by the pics. and nice choice on the lid. i have a hjc cs-12. but its a bit heavy. your neck will be aching after an hr or so. im thinking about upgrading to an arai. but dont want to lay down 500.00+ for it.

post up more pics and of the progress of the rebuild.

its a 2006 with 8200 miles. Its all stock, and I got it for $1400

he has a detailed quote from a kawasaki dealer on what it would need to be repaired, and there was a $60 labor only charge for adjusting the front end, but no parts to replace, and it still rides fine as well.

Im not exactly sure how he crashed the bike like that, he says a lady pulled out without looking and he couldnt stop in time and it looks like he layed it over on the right side...maybe the headlight area hit the wheel of the car and the front wheel of the bike went under the car.

he got banged up pretty good, I dont think he remembers how exactly it happened either.

my old helmet was an HJC, and it wasnt too heavy for me, so I think this one will be fine.

the seat is also very upright compared to your bike (almost sitting straight up!) so there wont be much strain on my neck.

I'll definetely post some pics as I fix her up.

Dam thats a great deal. I would love to find one like that to make a street fighter/rat bike.

good $hit man. and for only 1400..not a bad deal. maby about 1000 tops for repairs is what i can gather from the pics. might be able to find used parts from ebay or your bikes forum. and make sure you replace ALL the fluids (brake+clutch (clutch if you have a wet clutch), oil, coolant), check the wheels for trueness, also check trail of the bike as well. i would pick up a shop manual to help making the repairs. i have one and its got everything you could possibly want to know. the best 40.00 i spent on my bike so far.

good luck man.
