Just when I was on my way to getting back into imports and happy, my car goes and gets fixed... I just HAD to check the spark plugs and see that the engine shot out the back 3 cylinders with the wires still plugged in. So there they are, 3 plugs attached to wires just hanging there. I put them back in and my car runs great! Damnit! ****ing Domestics! :bang: :kick: :pain10: :2gunsfiri :plzdie: god i hate this car and its dependability

Be smart, keep the cheap dependable car, get a credit card and pay it off every month. Then, when you have some decent credit you can go buy whatever the hell you want.

thats why i want to go back to an elantra, cheap insurance, cheap and easy to work on (at least for me it is) but i have this stupid car that is so damn solid. oh well, when it gets around 100k ill prolly have enough to get a new car. i am graduating next year so that gives me more time to work. its just that i need to find a place that will hire me that is near a school so i can work on cars and sarah can teach elementary pe (anyone know of any place?)

thats what ive been doing bob

since 2005 i have a credit car i use for gas, small purchases, anything less than 300$ a month, and i just pay it off monthly to build up some credit history.

never missed a payment until now! :)

funny...a co worker had the same car...and the power steering pump one morning cracked and she was leaking power steering fluid everywhere...it only had 60k on it...

Cypher

thats odd. pumps don't usually just crack for no reason

i have credit, but not enough of a history. i didnt get my first credit card until last year and i have to have at least 3 years of history for any loan

I don't know about there, but around here it's easier to get a car loan than a credit card. If you want a car and have the income, you can get financing. It just takes some legwork.

you have to go to the live auction for the decent cars...

the stuff in the lot is the 'left overs'...

04-14-2007, 09:39 PM
was this at a dealer or a bank? im trying through my job at the bank for lower rates

Cypher
04-14-2007, 09:43 PM
the 4k loan i was approved for thro my bank in a day and the car was thro a dealer

theWorst

the dealer will approve you for a loan as long as you have a job..

but the TERMS are the part you might not be ready to agree with...

its harder to be approved for a used car than a new car... so i'm told .. anyway.

Cypher
04-14-2007, 09:57 PM
my payments were only 280 when i got approved for the HD

The dealership will push to get you financing for anything you want. If it's a used car, they'll make more profit. They'll make it work.
