Hi all from western australia, just thought i would start a thread on the new amp i am installing today. Just bought a new alpine F250 vpower amp for the car to finish the install that has been a work in progress for the last year and a half. The system at the moment is a alpine head unit.... dont ask me the model number at the moment because i can't remember. Heritage 600w rms amp, the reason i chose this amp was cost and all its doing is driving my 12inch s series alpine sub. Dayton VDO splits in the front and kicker two ways in the rear deck, planning on using the F250 to drive these speakers. Have to do some custom work tomorrow because i can't fit the two amps on the rears seats because there is only room for one. Making a custom panel to mount both amps on so i will be posting pics if anybody is interested. hopefully all goes well and its sounds great too.

Hi im from WA too.....
You could mount that amp under the driver or passengers seat. Ive got an 01 Hatchback and i have a AV module under one seat and a 6 Disc stacker under the other. I dont know where you are in perth. I am based in Rockingham but i work in Belmont (I work For Pioneer) so if you want me to have a look drop me a line. You can email or MSN me if you like at extremeaudiowa@hotmail.com
Cheers
Ben
^ many people advise against this for airflow reasons, but honestly as long as the amp has enough room to breath it works out just fine. i personally just think its way easier to access everything in the back, so the rear of the car always works out best.

thanks extremeaudiowa, im just down the road from you in leda. I have decided to make a flush mount install of the amps so i will be off to bunnings to get some wood. Have done this kind of install before so it is no drama for me. Tell me how much better does your elantra runs with the 2.5" inch pipes on it, do u have extractors fitted with that. by the way thanks 200 for the pics of your install, but by the looks of the picture you own a hatch.... mine is a sedan. the problem i face is that there is a plastic cover behind the rear seats which obstruct the amps. Could mount it on the subwoofer box but it would be a bit hard to remove the sub box and amps if i needed to change the tires. Oh nearly forgot, the amp is wired up and the sound is out of this world. Had to re-adjust the sub for the right crossover point because the kickers in the back have come alive with an amp driving them now. how many more guys are out there with elantras in wa that are members.
Cheers Craig
