For some reason the tweeter doesn't look as pretty as the stock one and hide that crossover, it looks like crap in the door pocket imo.

i really didtn want it there but that was the only spot to put it! i cant find a way to run wires into the door! its a real PITA!

yes, those damned molex connectors at the A-pillar are a dreaded PITA. would the x-overs possible fit in the airspace below the armrest?

ok put the crossover in the glove box and you can easily run wires into the door...

Just look at the drivers side door. Run the wires out of the glove box, buy some accordian cover and drill into the door. Take the panel off of course and route the wires along the electrical for the window....

shawn :)

those speakers are BADASS, Diamond Audio speakers are mint. But it would look a little better if you could hide that xover :)

yeah they are badass!!

the cross-over is huge!...its like 6in by 4 in....and i dont want to drill into the door....not to mention i dont have the tools to do....i thinking of doing a custom bottom part of the doors so it looks nice and then you would also be able to see the woofer...i dont know...but for now thats where they are and thats where they are staying ;)

That thing in the compartment there is a cross ver? I thought it was an amp. Holy *** that's a big cross over. WTF is it so big?

everything gets x 'd over like two three times for clarity....they are on the bigger side....but the tweets are adjustable +/- 2db and there is a spot to run a second set of speakers without changing the ohm's....they are a nice set!

wow, its now apparent why I dont visit the audio section....I have zero knowledge of it....either way, you still need to hide the crossover, it looks bad

huh? i believe the reason they are so large is because the components (resistors, capacitors, and coils), are all of heavy-duty gauge wiring and are heavily epoxied and insulated. plus having switchable options (like db reduction) means having to have extra resistors and capacitors engineered in to the circuit board.

at any rate...they are large...if i could make a custom panels it would look nice....but thats probably not for a little bit....i'm sure it would cost a pretty penny to make

only1db,

i'm not sure how much space this would save, but you may be able to fit the x-overs inside the armrest if you removed the circuit board from the plastic housing. sometimes the housings are bulkier than they need to be, and are really just for show anyway. just an idea.

i think i'm going to look into making a fiberglass bottom portion of the door...this way you can actually see the speaker and can be angled up a little....so it wont look so bad.
