This is the Metra part number for the OE harness that will plug into the stock radio: 71-7301. Now we just have to find out where to buy it and you'll be straight.
Found it: http://cgi.ebay.com/BHO7301-OEM-Hyundai-Kia-Factory-Radio-Harness_W0QQitemZ160105635772QQcmdZViewItem

yeah i have the same chart but i wasnt sure about the + and- for the illumination but if there not used then i got it thanks .. and they dont have what their functions are on the wires.
i didnt hook up the illumination on mine, although i could have.. but when it dims i think its TOO dim.. so i dont use it. -its your call if your stereo even supports it

I personally would feel more comfortable repairing the stock harness before adding anything. Just makes things easier if you ever switch to a different radio sometime down the line.

Wheres the fun in that? :D
the elantra is the first car i used the harness with. me and metal crimp connectors used to be good buddies

Problem is, those metal crimps are pretty much permanent. So as you start switching radios or switching wires that you mixed up accidently, those wires get shorter and shorter in there making it more difficult to work. A harness would just make life easier. I don't know, I guess I just like my work to be as clean as possible!

Use a test lamp and it'll be easy to figure out the + and - illumination wires.

plus its so much easier.. Plug in plug out... Plus when its cold out and you really want that headunit in.. Thats all the less time needed in the car!!! I have installed a headuint when it was like 15 outside... I REALLY WANTED IT IN!!!
lol, i wasnt serious. i would so harness it too. (and did on mine) im just sayin its no fun unless you have to WORK for it lol. an install was 10x better once you spent an hour+ on it and cut yourself and were bleeding on the wires and every finger has wire splinters.. then when you finally get it working its all worth while! hehehe
also i have always spent like 400 on a hu. so i usually run it for 2+ years so i never worry about switching out much.. course with the hyundai i might actually keep the car for more then 2 years lol

At least you got to be inside the car doing the work. A couple years ago, my wife got me an HID kit for the fog lights on our Millenia for Christmas. They came in early, so she let me have them early. Only problem was, it was like 10 degrees outside and I really wanted them in. So I bundled up and manned up. But man, it was FREEZING! I thought my teeth and fingers were gonna break. But it was worth it when it was done!
