So this will be goin in the ride tommorow. Wasn't top notch but I wanted a new unit w/ the HD tuner built in. Hopefully this will resolve the amp issues i've been having as well. I'm convinced it's just that POS Kenwood that has been messing w/ my whole sound system. Guess we'll find out tommorow:D

Will do! I've been dying to try out the HD radio but don't know anyone that has it. See if it really has CD quality.

What problems are you having with the Kenwood?

Let's see.... Press a preset button at normal pressure and the whole screen blacks out, try to turn the volume up and it goes down a bit then gets stuck between a couple (9 and 10 i.e.) it shuts itself off whenever it feels like it (and I mean completely off. The only thing I can do to turn it back on is take off the face plate and put it back on.) Aside from all this, this is the 3rd Kenwood i've had in it in 3 years (under warranty). I'm just sick of it and have sworn myself off from Kenwood for a while.

Sounds like there is a problem with the little connector on the back of the face plate that mates to the radio when installed. Did you try cleaning that or making sure none of the terminals were damaged?
I had a problem a bunch of times with my stock radio too. When I turn the volume, I got static from my left front speakers. The dealer replaced the radio twice which helped for a few months each time. Then they replace the tweeter and the problem came back before I even left the dealership. The problem finally went away when I bought an aftermarket radio. So maybe it is just the fact that it has Hyundai on it?!

Tried cleaning the connectors several times. As for any of the rear terminals, I've never seen them because Hyundai has always been the one to install the new unit. It's all good. I'm looking forward to the HD unit. I've got a total of 25 HD stations in CT that I will now be able to pick up.
