2005 remote Q

i have a 2005 elantra, can i replace the battery in it or do i have to buy a totally new key fob?? how do i open it up?

Yep, take it to the dealer. They'll replace the battery.

i forgot about that cause i gave up on it, i just started using the second remote i was given but now that one is messed up.

U dont hav 2 replace or take it 2 da dealership unless u wanna spend da money but its a waste cuz u can do it on ur own.

U can go 2 a radioshack or u can open it ur self wit a flathead screwdriver.

This how I did it.

I used a eyeglass kit cuz it has a flathead screwdriver I insert it on the 2 dash spaces on the bottom alarm giving a lite push up on each side it open up and replace it and closed gentley.

Hope it works 4 ya.
