How do I install a New Head Unit?

Hello,

I bought I new Alpine MP3 Head Unit, but I don't know what wires do what with the stock speakers. Any instructions on what wires goes with what?

I found the easiest way is to buy a plug adapter that plugs into the factory harness and has either a plug end to go into the HU or bare, color keyed wires

sorry, cut off, anyway the bare wires are matched to the plug that comes with the HU and all you have to do is splice 'em together with quick crimps. If you are running new speaker cable from the HU to the speakers, the job is more involved and imo unneccessary. I am using stock speaker wires for my fronts and upgraded wire for my rears in my '03 hatch and all are amped. Sound is much improved by a HU and amp. BTW Alpine rocks.I have a pioneer premier HU and Alpine amp and love it>>>
