ok well i just got my sub back from the shop they had to put new lead wires(from the terminal on the sub to the voice coil) i burned the old ones off by hooking them up to run at 8 OHM's and the sub is only capible of 4 so needless to say it only lasted about an hour after hooking up the second voice coil(thats when it went to 8) with only one hooked up it was beating the block down running at 4 OHM's with 1000 watts pushing it now its only a 800W sub but it lasted for 6 months like that. well i just put it in my buddys mercedes and it hit so ****ing hard!!!! i dont remember it beating like that before but i guess its because of them rewiring the voice coils and the new leads. i got my box its a ported plane square box. i have the wiring kit so all i need is the little box to wire into my speakers to get RCA out puts and and the amp im going with bazooka 1000w mono block. my buddy at the audio shop is giving me a good deal the box, amp, wiring kit, and the little box for the RCA's for only $220 keep in mind the amp is $185, the box is $55, and the wiring kit and RCA box is $60 that = 300 so im saving $80 and he letting me buy it all as i get the money not all at one time. soon enough im gonna be getting complaints from my neibors. but then again i dont care, his system pisses me off he has 2 lighting audio subs from walmart and a lighting audio amp with a autozone cd player. you hear no bass unless you are in his car other wise you hear nothing but loud music. boy hes gonna **** him self!!!
