Due to Hyundai USA dropping out of sponsorship we will no longer have a Sponsored event unless someone steps up (We are working on this – Possibly Hyundai Canada will attend).

Many of you have been to meets and have had a wonderful time and have had the opportunity to meets new friends, gain new ideas, assistance working on your car and not to mention the wonderful memories that you hold through photos, videos and most importantly in our hearts.

I know the news of loosing a sponsor is hard news to accept. I would like to have everyone still interested please post as we are not going to let this opportunity die. I will be trying to work things out as far as sponsors goes in the mean time. So in the open, if you cannot handle any of the following information I do ask that you don’t plan on attending as this will be the total cost breakdown at this point (worst case scenario).

I saw your post over on HyundaiForum, CarrRyanE, and urged anyone there to go by if they get the chance. Not a lot of traffic over on HyundaiForum, but it's been picking up a bit lately..... and they made me a mod (yes, I know, they can't be very picky, can they?) Mostly I'm just a SPAM eliminator. (But your notice isn't SPAM, don't worry!)

We just had one out here a couple weeks ago.... but I didn't make it.

Things just kind of piled up and I couldn't get away.

I've made several local meets- 20 people or so- but none of the big ones yet.

Well, just got home from 2 days of madness! 32 cars showed up saturday, and about 20 showed up today.... i think a a total of 7 elantras, 1 Tuscan and the rest Tibs. we had a Photo Shoot for DipStickmag.com they took video and tons of pics, cant wait for that to be up. The only S/C Hyundai Tuscan in North America was there, and almost got T-boned by a S/C Elantra! we got wasted in our hotel room with a hot tub in the room! saw some girl on girl action! BBQ some burgers and dogs and had a great time meeting a ton of great people. all and all a great time.

i'll post my pics, then the link to the NewTib thread with everyones pics. once Dipstickmag has our pics and videos up i'll post a link. enjoy:

Things I enjoy & learn every meet.

1. Hyundai people are all cool :) Even if they own Tibs :poke: :abovelol:

It would be awesome to have a meet with an equal number of Elantras & Tibs, and Accents invited too (I did enjoy all the Accent that showed up in Allentown) all in one place, They are Hyundai people too.

We stopped by the VW meet & they all seemed like weirdos.
All the children who's father bought them a Lexus were next to us.
We intimidate the hell out of out car groups.

Saturday we had a Honda with a spare donut in the front do a burn out on the rode behind us & got busted by 2 Park Police, I forgot who from NT drove by to get the picture if the bust LOL

The Lexus all had to rev their engine & do semi burn out as the left (hard to do with an auto <grin> & then we had the Park police give us a nice talk about not doing burn out, we explained we are Hyundai & they are Lexus, he was cool with that.

2.Cruising with other Elantras & Tibs is alway a blast..

What I learned this time was:

1.That Tib front seats will fit in an Elantra with a minor mod & the airbag just plug right in

2. Super chargers & Turbos are really cool looking :) but I don't need one (well I keep telling myself that)

3. There is a mod to a short antenna that with fit out cars that gets full reception, it is a Honda 2000 antenna with CNC machined brass insert that can be made by a NT guy (but he needs a minimum of 15 to make it worth is while). I may do all the leg work of a GB & then see about getting him to do it. I don't want to both him if we can't get a good amount of people to buy in.

PS Great pics above

This past meet if you notice is/was a meet by Newtib.com Keep your eyes open  I have found that there are several different Hyundai family groups & we don't really pay attention to the others. Sooo if you hear of meet feel free to post it here.. There are some pretty interesting HYundais out there
