Whatever IMO. Chryslers are nice but a little over priced for me. Guess it doesn't matter who owns it, they'll still cost to much!

It's no big deal really. Well, it's no surprise anyway.
PS- Out of all the links you could have used, why an Aljazeera article? Just curious.

Google news, first one that came up. Didn't realize where it was from till later. Not a huge deal but there had been a few people throwing out predictions on the future of American car companies. Should be interesting to see what happens next (especially since chrylser will not have access to Mercedes parts anymore).

I know the union guys are already ****ing bricks about it...one of the big spokespeople said he saw job cuts incoming...

job cuts... obviously. the new owner is going to do all they can to get the brand to be profitable again. easiest way to make short-term profit = mass layoffs. sad but true.
hopefully they'll stop making the PT Cruiser.

I find the name of the take over company to be the funniest part of it all. Cerebus or w/e. I never wanted a chrysler and don't think I'll start. I did like the Plymouth Laser and Colt but I think that was it they are all the same duck aren't they?

fyi .. Cerebus is the name of the 3 headed dog that guards the gates of hell
here it is in a fight with Hercules

So by inference that means that Chrylser is Satan in Hell and the UAW is Hercules
Happy day,
Brad

At least they got the new lancer chassis set before this happened.

In a hyundai related note I wonder what this will do to the partnership between Hyundai and Chrysler as part of the development of a new world "engine family" ie the 4cyl in that new Lancer mentioned above. Not to mention the four and six cylinder engines in virtually every announced new Chrysler for 2007. I'm glad I don't work for any of the "big three" right now, I would be gulping Tumms like they were Milk Duds.
