When you stick a turbocharger on you motor then you can come talk to any of the boosted guys about what will work best. Until that I don't think you have any wiggle room in telling some people all of your theory on Beta motors and a Hyundai in general.

toymachine scrapped it a couple of time and its held up pretty well...no rust nothig...its true stailess steel...:cool:

it would be well worth the price of it new....but i dont even think they make it anymore.

btw...the silencer does cut down on quite a bit of noise and is tolerable by wife who has very sensitive ears....again its all good. i take it out when i'm driving.

its essentially just a frame (i used foam on the outside to get the floor snug in the rear but still able to move it if i need to...and foam around where the sub slides into) then the top is just a two piece 1/2 board that goes over the top with the approiate holes cut out for the amps and the caps...then screwed down with black wook screws.

yeah its a mustang mach one lip. there was guy on here like four years ago trying to sell them...i was the first to cut and apply it to their XD...still looks pretty good even though its beat up...just one of the things i may refresh in the up and coming months.

in the pipes is going to be a five lug swap, new fender, new hatch, taking care of the rust on the rockers, and the kdm mouldings and side markers...hopefully i can squeeze the high wing and side skirts too...

just need to find some SE calipers (or even XG calipers...i like the bigger bite but they are heavy!!) but the SE calipers seem hard to come by.

front bearings and rear bearings (which have the hub) will be bought new.
will be picking up 20mm spacers too.


so all is coming together very nicely...hopefully everything will be together for the january 9th meet (rwdcoupe.com meet) and then the subsequent tuscanituner.com meet in mid january in Melbourne.

putting it on you could do it, but it would be a pita! the shop foreman that i used to work with just recently quit so i swung by his house (lives there doors down) we got it done pretty quick even with BSing and lining it up was relatively easy too.

i loved the neogens the handling is friggin amazing. he tires last about a year and a half with harder driving.

just so you know, i get PM's about those tails weekly from new member. some of them ask about the tails then never really come back. So your labor and work on the tails bascially lives on. I make sure to post your name at ever single pm, cause you are the man for making those *****es.

Looking good Derek. I love the yellow from the 3500k HID fogs I just put in. It puts out a beam so wide you can see yellow across 4 lanes of road, lol.

iirc the kdm fogs take the same bulb...so i can use them in the projector style...that should have a nice look...whenever i get to it.

Either way, the color of yellow you got out of those is great!

yeah the cool part is that when you use your high beams they shut off...so at night when i go to flash sombody (Too move over) it has a pulse effect as the fogs turn on and off with each flash of the high beams...people move over quick..

and no i'm not an *** about it...but if i'm moving and i can see from a distance that someobdy is sitting in the left lane...i'll flash them from a couple hundred yards away...just like the autobahn and other parts of the world...its the nice thing to do and less dangerous...no need to tail gate or go around them on the right...

mussa front strut bar and midbrace (dont know how affective it its, but we will see) it bolts up to the seatbelt bolts and then you adust it from the center section

I was going to do a midbrace but with front and rear strut bars and tibby sway bar never wound up getting one.

yeah i'm not sure how its going to work...i'm sure every little bit helps...all i need now is my rear strut brace...and all of my bolt ons are covered.

i have alot of things in the air...what i would like to do is

tib bumber
short shifter
new paint
get new coils
turbo with lsd

if as a daily driver...get new springs/struts and just leave it as is and get something sporty for the summer...coupe (really want this!) or volester turbo

OR

trade it in all together and get something else for all year around (thinking sonata turbo)

it will be a hard sell to the wife to have three cars though...espeically since we are going to be trading in her 04 on probably a sonata gls with 6spd. or the accent 5 door

Again, with the comfort (on all trim levels), I can hardly blame you if you end up with a pair of new Sonatas in the driveway!

well finally got everything back together and the car is on four real tires after my spare blew up! not fun/cool...so i was forced...i was hoping to wait til saturday so i would be cheaper but owell. I will just get the alignment on saturday (along with camber bolts installed and balance of the other two tires.)

what i still need to do...

get alignment (tomorrow)
passenger side axel (from doing different heights on the car i can tell that the outter joint is beat (lots of clicking and noisiness while i had the oem setup on there)

but i do think this is the beginning of the end....just going to maintain it and keep it running.

some pics. although the measurements would say that the car is raked(i think it more the body lines then the suspension) but i dont notice a difference between front and rear and i dont notice a difference in stance from the springs to the coils. ride is essenstially the same (a little softer and a little more body roll, but other all the handling has not really changed...although without the correct alignment its hard to tell for sure.)

consider doing a 215/45 tires? instead of 215/40? would fill those wells up real nice.

i had 215/45 with my other rims. i was using used tib tires...no thanks, the rolling diameter is too big, they were heavier, and killed my mileage.

probably out to colorado for work. There are no jobs for me around here. Unless i get extremely lucky...but even then i can make an exta 15k by going out there, and everything else is equal. Looks like simple math to me. Besides i miss curvy roads and real trees. The smell of damp woods and waterfalls. I miss hiking in the woods. You really cant do that down here.

says on first page...15mm spacers. they are perfect considering the oem offset is +46. IF/when i buy new rims i will be just getting the proper offset.

they are from ebay a company called Ichici (something like that) they are fantastic spacers and are hubcentric!

pretty much whatever you want...but i have the nitto neo gens that are made for alot of camber...so i'm actually set up with -2 all the way around. i wouldnt go past -1.5 though on normal tires.

Finally had a chance to look through this thread, amazing car! If you ever consider making your muffler fit a lil more snug, please make a DIY. I have seen a lot of elantras with hanging mufflers.
