What year/gen Q45 end would fit on that?

At one time I had done a ton of research into this. My first car was an 82 280zx 2seater and i loved it. The problem it had no balls. I can't remember exactly what year it was and I know it wasn't 100% bolt on. I think one or a few of the 300zx rear ends are easier to install. Ill have to look back into it. Some form of LSD is going into the thing :D

theres a guy here who has like an 88 rx7 with a SBC motor dropped in...he told me he was using the stock rear end...dont know if that would fit in it...he was saying that its good for 10s, and have been pushed into the 9s on occasion.
unfortunately, he is disassembling it and parting it out for reasons i dont know. it was running low 11s on motor only

Ive heard of more than a few v8 280s using the stock rear ends, but most are open. A few have LSDs and those would be harder than the 300 or Q to find unless I just happen to get lucky and stumble upon one.

I'd choose a TT 300ZX rear end if I were you. They are a little easier to locate. However, the LSD in those rear ends are viscous clutch type, which is good for straight lines, but not for sliding. I don't know if you are planning this for a drag car or a drifter.
Also, the Q45 model you are looking for I believe is the 95-98 model.

No plans for drifting this is going to be a drag car.
Thanks for the info.
