I am sorry, but what you did to your headlights is the dumbest thing I have ever seen anyone do to a headlight.
Anyway, you should at least wet sand or clear cot your lights so that they have a gloss shine.

I do not like the headlights tinted, but the taillights look good.

Agreed, sorry.
Also you should look into debadging your car.

if the pictures are in order of modification, does that mean you tinted your headlights and then de-tinted them? I'm confused...

yess keyan, it IS in order. i totally agree with you guys about the headlights and i DID take them off.

How did you get it off?

i used whatever i could find, so i stole nail polish remover from my mom and it didn't make the lights any less shinier.. the reason i had the lights sprayed was because i thought it looked cool but i couldn't see very clearly at night and i realized that it would be so much better to buy eyelids for them. yet again, still waiting for money to come in.
how do you guys debadge the car? won't that make the car less original?

What do you mean less original? I heated mine up with a heat gun or hairdryer on a warm summer day and just carefully peel them off. Then get the rest of the crap of with adhesive remover.

you want less original, as far as the debaging goes. use dental floss and goo gone to get rid of the residue. Eyelids would look far better than those black covers. Also, are those two different interiors or have you modified the interior from beige.

yeah i'm going to order some goo-gone as soon as i get some money. i also need to use the goo-gone to get rid of the sticky stuff from the door window sticker things that im halfway peeling off right now.
the interior: i have painted the center console, painted the visors, painted the center lamp at the top center, and i painted the bottom door sills at the bottom of the doors. then i just have a black steering wheel cover, and black seat covers. i'm waiting for a chrome shift knob that i just ordered online to replace the beige stock one. im trying to get rid of as much beige as possible.
i re-did my tail lights and made them darker with the same design and everything. i'll get some pictures up of everything (taillights, shift knob, and removal of window stickers) as soon as the shift knob and goo-gone comes in.

Maybe next time instead of film tint, get your tail and headlight painted tint last longer. One of my friend has his Scion TC head and tail Lights painted tint and has eyelines too, looks hot.
When I debadge my car I used a heat gun and once I peel them off one @ time I used a Buffer so the goo and also it dosent leave the outline of where you badges where.

yeah, that's what i used. i didn't use the film tint. however i want to paint my headlights chrome from the inside and then put eyelids on. i want to get these M&S eyelids:

lots more to come:
first is the interior.. everything is changing.. so please try not to critique it and say it's ugly because this is not the final product.
second.. the car is going to be lowered; i'm going to install some h&r sport springs on it.
third.. i know i might be all show and no go right now but i am planning on getting a cai, 4-2-1 header, and the whole exhaust system. not sure what kinds i am going to go with yet. and i'm not going to be putting all these on at the same time.. as time goes by, i will be putting them on separately with enough time in between so that the engine and i will get used to each modification as they come.

y does ur hood seem like its bent?? it doesnt sit very well on the grille.... O.o
anyways... like i said before, ur car looks great! the only thing i dont like, is how u removed the amber circles... im not a fan of that, i prefer how they look stock alot more than just having blank holes. maybe u shud get some clear circles ??? ive seen those b4 on here, if u dont like the amber.
also, for your gauges... unless its only the camera showing the hot posts, u could consider getting some wide angle bulbs, so that u dotn hav those hot spots.
other wise, everything looks great :D
chaldowhiteboy
01-24-2008, 03:54 AM
yeah actually the hood isn't bent.. the front bumper s pushed in a little bit at that part so it makes it look like the hood is slightly aligned off.
i would get the clear corners but i would have to buy them with the whole light assembly and i don't want the whole things..
as far as the gauges go.. yeah there are hot spots.. do you know anywhere i could get the wide angle bulbs? i have been really struggling with that situation

chaldo move the rubber stop down and ur hood will sit flat....there are two rubber stops in the front of ur car directly under ur hood, move the right one(facing the car) down.
o nvm he beat me to a post....

oh i think i know exactly what you are talking about.. i will do that tomorrow morning.. thanks so much.. thats so funny that something that small and simple has been bothering me since i have had the car and now realize that that's the problem

i think that will fix ur problem...if not it will make it better, i hope. ya cause looking at the pics its not ur bumper, ur hood sits up quite a bit.

the bulbs that give u hot spots r 194 type. i just ordered some "MATRIX" type bulbs for mine, in red. ive heard good things about them.
chaldowhiteboy
01-24-2008, 04:07 AM
yeah it does sit up quite a bit. but i do think it's all that rubber piece because i've checked my bumper in so many spots and it just never made sense to me why the hood was like that
My hood has the same problem. It was from the previous owner running into something pushing the bumper back a little. Although it isn't quite as pronounced as yours.

yeah it just might be that my cars previous owner also hitting something making the bumper go back a little is the problem.. if so then the rubber piece might help a little bit. hopefully the whole problem is because of the rubber piece

i have 5% on the back windows, and i supposedly have 25% on the two front. when i say "supposedly" i say that because it doesn't look like 25% to me.. it looks darker. but that's what the installer told me it was.

alrite, i see. thanks bro. those matrix ones look like they would light pretty well for a wide angle

Yah looks about 25% to me cause thats why mine has on the fronts and i have 5% on my rear window and two small back windows.. i like your taste lol

dang i really had wished that the rubber piece was the problem to why my hood always looks like it stands up so much.. but i think it's my bumper. i tried to put down all of the rubber pieces even by taking them out. i put them back figuring out that it must be the bumper's fault

dont understand how ur bumper can make ur hood sit up like that. how can a plastic bumper bend a metal hood???
chaldowhiteboy
01-26-2008, 04:28 AM
i think that my bumper is just pushed back at that part making my hood look like it's bent.. my hood is perfectly aligned with every corner and side except for that part
CRAZIECRACKER
02-09-2008, 02:25 AM
ur bumper is pushed back...if you pop ur hood and remove the plastice cover thats over your grill you will see two points on a metal bar going across the front of your car that each point of the bumper connects to...theres a screw on each side for each point aligning with the hood...its soft metal and you can easily bend it back out so the hood and bumper is flush...if you cant bend it...place a nylon spacer on the bolt so it keeps the bumper pushed out so it aligns with ur hood...

You need a spoiler now. I'd suggest the OEM trunk lid one.
