Hello I just had a couple of questions. First off what my plan was; to set up the car's fuel system first and get it completely working(in a 04 MAF based car, returnless fuel system), then set up the plumbing for the turbo. People talk about upgrading to larger injectors, stronger fuel pump, adding in a return line, fuel pressure regulator, SAFC, ARC II, etc. I just had a couple of simple questions first... Ok so if I add in the following what would happen exactly?
1. If I just up and replaced my injecters with larger/higher flow ones and leave it at that, what would happen? I am under the impression that my car would be running that much richer? Or will it run the exact same just it has more potential to not platou? How would i make it not run rich if that is the case after I upgrade the injectors?
2. If I upgrade the fuel pump and only the fuel pump, what would happen? Same thing would I just be running richer all the time? Or will it give me potential to put in more fuel in the long run withough platouing?
3. Does my car come stock with a fuel pressure regulator? Would this need upgraded? What would happen if I add/upgrade the fuel pressure regulator?
4. Is it a good idea to hook up a SAFC or ARC II to controll your fuel without a turbocharger first, just to get it running, then install all the plumbing and get it tuned?
5. By hooking up a return line for the car(because it has a returnless fuel system at the moment) would the car run exactly the same? What does it take to convert the fuel system like this and is it necissary?
These were just some questions I had, I just want to upgrade the fuel to the car first, get it running as if there was no change, then hook up the plumbing for the turbo and have it ready. I know I have a lot of questions, any help is greatly appreatiated, thanks! :D
