As of recenetly i have noticed that numerous people...it seems...are just going out of their way to piss people off and say things that are not needed in the forums...things that should be kept in PM's. It has gotten so outta hand with some of the newer people and quite a few of the older people now that many who are liked are starting to leave this forum....control needs to be put back into this forum for christ sake we are all here for the same reason yet problems keep arising and generally with the same people every time.....as of recently i have contemplated leaving the forum al together and that greatly upsets me cause i enjoy having a place to go where i can find information that i need or to even look at others cars who share the same interest as i do....

I agree with you that some people are just being douchebags, but ALL of the threads in question are under control at some point.
Just because it doesn't get locked within 15 minutes doesn't mean that there is havoc in the forum.

Situations like these happen all the time, matter of fact I could remember a few former members starting a thread because their membership couldn't be deleted or something like that. It's pointless to get your panties in a bunch because of a few bad comments, given that this is a discussion forum. Of course I hear what you're saying when it starts to become personal attacks, but give a week and everyone will calm down. A few months down the road it'll happen again.
Therefore who cares!...until of course it gets really bad like someone talking about my mama then...
MAMA said knock you out! lol

^ ^ I agree with both of you, and at the same time, I apologize for some of my own beligerent behavior, warranted or not.
I've kept my mouth shut enough about something in particular and I had to let it rip, the thread being read by both of you, you'll know what I'm talking about.
Don't leave Silver, you'll miss us too much. Not to mention, we'll miss the car, and that's really all we care about anyway:D

True, EXD used to be pretty bad when Evan and Bob would go off. It seems to have subsided for the time being.

Just a FYI, on the top right hand corner of all posts is an icon that looks like a red triangle with an exclamation in it. You can report any post you think is questionable and that will alert the mods via email. As much as we would like to be everywhere at all times it is just not possible with work getting in the way. Sometimes we have to rely on our members to be our eyes and ears.

But it was kinda funny at the same time. It's the interweb wouldn't take anything too super serial

Eh, just laugh at it and let it roll off your shoulders. All forums go through this occasionally.

I wanted to go back and search for posts similar to this one over the last couple years and pull one of my good quotes about the internet and internet forums to post it here. But, I'm too lazy to do that now. I'll go with something easy and simple.
If you don't like it, then leave.
With that said, I'm not interested in anyone leaving. The "recent stuff" happening is nothing compared to the good old days. Take the advice of joph, Sean, John, Jared and Robert in this post and it'll be all good.

Man, we moderate and lock topics, and people get all pissed off. We let things slide and don't exhibit totalitarian dictatorship, and people get pissed off.

that's only one of the reasons...but the biggest!

i think people just need to think before they post. I mean, its different when your pissed and you just say something before thinking it out, but writing it gives you the time to think it over. You can give critisism without bashing the person. just my 2 cents

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
And for the record, I only went off on stupid azz tards that liked to call names. Some grew up and I get along with, the rest got smart and left or got banned. Either or it was a win/win situation.:D

We could just say nobody is allowed to sell things on the site, would that make you happy? The purpose of this site is not to sell things, but most think that it is helpful that you can.

You're out on your own narrow branch on that one. To me it's like suing the beer company because some guy got drunk and wrecked his car into your house. Personal responsibility is a thing of the past. Thanks lawyers.

Ain't that the truth..damn.
Nobody takes responsibilty for a ****ing thing anymore, they're so quick to sue first and ask questions later.

IMO when I don't get my money back or item...I think they should go on a blacklist and not allowed to sell again

Well if you want me banned and to not sell anything anymore, good luck with that, I have the most positive feedback here after zx2uner, I think I know how to deal with money. All I did was post the info. I never touched the money, nor the items, nor had anything to do with the shipping of them. Like it was said up there... use common sense: if you see an ad on TV (compared to my post), and the seller (my buddy) screws you, do you sue the seller or the TV company?
Anyhow this is getting a bit off topic, I would say PM me if you want to talk about this, but the topic has been discussed numerous times already and we are just beating on a dead horse right now.

yeah, the forum seems to be alot more tame than it used to be...but maybe I just care less about what goes on here. usually I wont read a topic unless its in the suspension or NA or FI sections.
