hey silver i have been in contact with him about a couple other things im looking at for my car so i asked him about this front bumper and he said he cant do anything right now as the prototype has been sent to the factory in asia.... he also said once its in factory amoung some other body kits for the kia and tiburon it can take a week or so to be built so crossing our fingers it might be done before november but i wouldnt hold your breathe... i sent him an email asking him to respond to this but just wanted to give you a heads up

UPDATE 10/25 - The factory FINALLY we have confirmed picked up our bumper projects so as to get this bumper in production. We hope to have the first batch of these done by the end of this coming month. Again, we went ahead and started the bumper even though we did not have the five prebuys we said we needed to get started. We also now have the shipping available for those few who have bought, if you want to pay for the shipping.

You do not have to pay shipping until it is done and ready to ship. Note that this a special prebuy price. As soon as the product is finished, the price will go up. You can also mix and match parts of this kit with any other one that we have.

Like I said over there, I'm in, if the 01 bumper has the lines from the hood continuing down the bumper (next to the headlights). I only say this because the R34 bumper they made did not have this.
I hope it blends well with the R34 sides and rear.

If youre getting this message you have prebought the Elantra Tuscani Bumper. As you know from our updates on the website, We never did get the 5 pebuys (we only have gotten 3 out of all the people who said they would get it!), however we found a way to still start the bumpers at a cheaper price without the 5 pre orders, by making it in asia at a new factory. That process has taken forever, the person in charge of that factory taking forever. So we had them make a copy of the mold here, and they will be finishing the first 5 bumpers here before sending the mold to the other factory. Those few bumpers will be finished in the next couple of weeks, ready for shipment. However, its costing us A LOT of money to do it this way, but we didnt want to delay any longer. So please if you know anyone else, try to get 2 more people to prebuy to help off set the costs for this...and they can get the 4th and 5th bumpers were making at the same time.

We also have added options to purchase our R34 rear and sides for a discountd price if youve gotten the front. Note: if you purchase a full kit, the shipping price is different.

Yes, we promised to make this bumper when we got 5 preorders. The blame is on the XD community because out of the 12 who said they would get it, only 3 actually did. I dont know where else the blame would be. Had we had 5 preorders, then as promised this bumper would have been made months ago, instead weve been trying all kinds of alternative ways to get the bumper made despite what the original agreement was.

Exactly, we should be praised for this, not ridiculed. Im not blaming the community for us being nice and trying to get it done w/o the preorders, i never said that. unless you were one of the ones who said they would get this bumper and didnt, i dont know why you are taking it personally. If i come off as frustrated, its because I am. Im not trying to be a jerk. I havent come on here in a while, and the first thing i see is an unrelated to the transaction(i assumed keyan was not one of the 3 prebuys, if he was, i apologize) person bashing us, as if we are to blame for this bumper not being finished, despite us doing everything we can to even without the 5 prebuys that was agreed upon.

And one other guy i believe who we have email corresponsdence with on this bumper had mentioned before that there are other instances where similar sentiments were being stated. To me, thats very frustrating. Id have no problem with anyone bashing us if we had 5 prebuys, and then it took us months to get it done, we would be going back on our agreement. But thats not the case here.

Anyway, back on topic, johnholmes, you have a couple of weeks to get the bumper at the price on the website, or until whomever gets the 4th and 5th bumpers that were making now. i want one and the only thing stoping me from jumping on the prebuy (not the money) is the fact its fiberglass. i think im gonna spend the extra money and buy a used tib bumper and an elantra bumper and have a body shop cut and bondo them. i think about everytime i scrape under my bumper and what that would do to fiberglass and its not worth it.

The only problem is the fact that the structural integrity of your cut and pasted bumper will be much worse than a fiberglass one.

Scratch the fiberglass one and it will crack in the corner.
Scratch a frankensteined bumper and it will break in half clean.

I work with fiberglass daily almost when I'm at school. You can cut fiberglass no problem.

That would not be a good move. Your bumper would be way less structurally sound than a full fiberglass bumper since its just connected with bondo/fiberglass, and its not actually woven in one piece. Not to mention any other damage you wouldnt be able to repair since you cant repair plastic as easy as you can fiberglass. With ANY body kit one has to drive more carefully, yes. Ive been driving cars with fiberglass body kits for almost 7 years, and have never had one get damaged very bad just from scraping, and things of that nature.

After driving a couple of months with mine, I have scrapped it a few times. Now I know what I can and can't do. I've checked under the front and haven't noticed and cracks or even paint missing. It always sounds worse then what it is. I do have a slight chunk missing on the bottom right corner. I have no idea where it came from. The only thing I can think of is a rock on the highway.

I know it sounds rice, but if you do end up doing it on your own. I would suggest driving it around a little bit unpainted so you can fix any cracks or damage. This way it doesn't goto paint and then your stuck fixing and repainting.

Prebuy price would be 225 for the front bumper. Probably 50 dollars for the OEM tuscani foglights (not 100% sure, but not much more than that)

Prebuy price for a full kit of tuscani front, BC2 rear and sides would be 595.

Regular price once completed would be 325 for the front, and 875 for the full kit.

Shipping for the bumper by itself is 125 to any address. Full kit 160 to business, 205 to residential.

No fender flares for the kit.

By the way, I think i want to make an application specific bumper for the 04-06. Until now we have used the 01-03 Elantra bumper for the 04-06 (for the 4 door), since minor modification only was needed for it to work. But would you guys like one specifically for each car?


What were the modifications that you had to do? Replace hood and headlights out of an 03 into the 04+ to make it work?

The CF hood bit is with Carbonman not EF.
He choose to do the CF hood for XD because there were none available. XD2s do have an OEM style, but I hate to pay 600+ for OEM style.

With the Bumper, EF went out on a limb to proceed with this group buy for the XD2 at least.
I probably would have myself (since its a little cheaper than the RR lip), but i'm just too skittish about FG bumper and scraping esp if lowered. Hence why i want to see it on Silver's and GTboy's car first.

bought mine off seoul for 18 bucks. there is a slight fitment needed for them too, a slit needs to be cut for the top piece on the fog cover. im going for the "this is what it should look like from the factory" look.

why??? and its pretty much identical to the elantra bumper. the bottom flares out at the grille and downward. very much set for an intercooler.

mine will be done next month. i have to fix a few things on my car and pay off a few things, but my bumper will be going on before my fenders get done and my widebody gets done.
