Unfortunately, I have had to change my grand scheme for my SQ Stereo buildup.

I originally planned on running a Soundstream MC140 (90x2) and a Soundstream MC500 (125x2,250x1) in order to power 2 components, 2 coaxials, and a JL Audio 8W7 mounted in a custom OEM style trunk enclosure.

Due to how hard it is to:
*find an MC500 (only one poor-condition one on Ebay in the past 3.5 months)
*find the time to build up that tiburon sub enclosure (or one from scratch) to take 250 watts
*the cash for an 8w7 subwoofer alone!
-----cash and time are always a factor, aren't they!-----------

I have (probably/tentatively) decided to run my MC140 and an MC245 (90x2, 100x1) to run the speakers and a JL Audio 10W0..I will be losing over 200 watts from my original 680 watt goal :(

Anyone have an opinion on my new setup...or any suggestions?? I feel better for having slightly vented my stereo issues ;) :phone:

Are you refering to a McIntosh MC500 home amp...if so thats way overkill for a car audio setup and very inefficient.

As for the sub try a w6v2 they are almost as good as the w7 but a lot less expensive...I just picked one up on ebay NIB for $242.
