i guess this will go in here since the big mod was the intake...

after not being able to get my package from UPS since i wasnt home, and the douchebag new owners of the apartments wont sign for it, i had to drive 25 min to go pick it up. everything looked good, get home, check the mail, and i find my stuff from seoulfulracing (sidemarkers and 3 way nozzles)...i was expecting it by the weekend and install it all then, but i got too excited...

intake took a couple hours, but this was with taking my time as to not **** anything up. of course, i had one of the bolts that holds the bumper on snap, so i had to take about 20 min to pull some things apart, heat the bolt, get it out, then go thru my bag-o-bolts i saved from my last XD. found one that fit, got it all together, had to cut 3-4" off the pipe, which i found out an angle grinder with a TINY *** air pump doesnt do ****. there went another 1/2 hour. after that, had to cut away about 1/4" off one side of the fender, not long at all, lined it w/ protective rubber, got intake installed. sounds so much better...hoping to notice 1-2mpg which will put me at the 30 city mark i want to hit (been doing 28 as is)

clear sidemarkers...2 minutes...nice improvement, especially on a silver car

3 way washer nozzles...tested them on the way home...so nice to be able to hit the lower windshield now.

best 61$ ive spent in a while

He'll start out doing well...and all will go nicely...but than...that old temptation of car modding will kick in...and stopping at a certain point will no longer be an option...

But, We are glad to have you back Evan.

Haha. I knew it.

Next: suspension...

Then it will be '' just a catback''

and ''just a header to increase the top end, I swear''

''just a BBTB, and I'll stop''

Hahaha. That's how it always goes.

Great job Evan. Even though they are basic mods, a pic of the engine bay with the CAI would be nice, since you don't have a pic up of the engine bay with a CAI that you can call your own.

Bets anyone? :D

I thought i was gonna hold out and just have a Borla muffler till 50k miles or so.
But nope, If i get the headers i have eyes on then headers an exhaust will be done by fall and a stage 1 or 2 CM IM with spacer will be on by Dec. And i currently only have 6800 miles on the car.

actually, i had 0 problems yesterday, except that bolt, which was easily fixed

nice to be able to do things knowing what problems to look out for...made yesterday go a lot smoother

Let's see the pics when you get it dropped. I like the 3-way nozzles as well.

I was lucky and didn't have to special order mine, mine were OEM on the '05's. My wife's '04 didn't come with them.

04 elantra cvvt, did you special order yours, or did yours come with them?

I bought the ones for the NF Sonata. My wife drives an NF, and I just had to have them too. I think they were about 5-6 bucks each at the dealer.

yeah, i remember nick (projectx515) talking about his sisters 06 having 3 way nozzles...i was always asking him to swap them out for me. lol

ill have the sway bar and struts/springs the weekend of the 16th when i go out to seans

take all the bets you want about the header/exhaust...let me bet against you so i can get some extra pocket money. those two didnt help my mileage much w/ the last car, definately not enough im gonna drop 4-500$ on a new combo
