I installed it yesterday... Sorry, I totally forgot to take pics. I was going to, but I ran into some lost nuts and bolts difficulties, so I got frusterated and forgot about the pics...
The runners on this thing quite a bit larger than stock :D
My initial impressions were "this thing does not suck enough", because I was driving around the city from stop light to stop light. Honestly, I could not tell the difference.
However, when cruising at any speed in the 2K-4K RPM range, I could feel a HUGE difference. It feels like I'm being pulled by a rope tied to the front of my car. It's hard to describe the feeling... big increase of midrange HP and torque I guess.
Oddly, I don't feel any difference at WOT acceleration.

Is this stage II supposed to be acid ported?

I believe so, but its mostly to remove the casting imperfections deep inside the manifold that normal porting cant reach.

I thought acid porting didnt do that, its supposed to leave the surface exactly the same and just enlarge the opening. that's why it'd be so great on our manifolds... cuz we cant get far enough into the runners to do a really good port job.

thats kind of where I was going with my post, perhaps its to early for me to be typing.

yup, the ports are HUGE, but the surface inside (as far as I could reach with my finger) was still a little rough.
Midrange it pulls nice and hard, but there is not much of a difference off the line.

I would assume that you are now restricted by your stock throttle body. If i were you.... i'd go down to princess auto and buy 2 crappy vaccume gauges. hook one to the manifold and the other to your CAI right in front of the throttle body. see if there is a significant vaccume drop right after the throttle body.
It may be time for a 58 or 60mm TB....

a little bit of texture is good for fuel atomization. :)
Is there anyone that has dyno'ed this intake yet? I can't justify spending a few hundred bucks for 4 horsepower.I have a intake sitting in my shed ready to go when I see numbers

a little bit of texture is good for fuel atomization. :)
Our manifolds are dry so the texture does not help fuel atomization.
Therefore you want it to be as smooth as possible. a polished manifold will flow like a whopping 2 or 3 % more but hopefully it'd make a differance.
the fuel is not injected untill just before the intake ports on the head.
