I think the Federal Government is mad at me for something... it seems as if in the past 2 weeks they're trying really hard to piss me off. Last week the Post office called at work, saying they needed updated map information for the mail routes... even though we sent that to them over a month ago, I got everything together and sent it out to them... then 2 days later the Census Bureau Called, requesting updated map info., which - like the first case - we had already sent them, they just don't want to do the work to put the list of info on the map. SO, that's what I've been doing the end of last week and all day today - the lazy Federal Government's job.

So today I get my student loan bill in from the U.S. department of Education. It indicates I did not pay my bill last month! So I look up the date I mailed the check, and it's over a month ago. I call them and listen to every automated message on their system before finding an option to talk to a real person. They still haven't got it, so i confirm with the bank that it hasn't cleared. Nope. That means the U.S. Postal Service lost my payment  . It's a $25 charge to cancel the check that was lost, in addition, now I have late fees and a missed payment on my record. So I wrote them out another check and ran to the post office to get it in the mail to avoid the higher interest accruing any more.

So that was my entire lunchbreak... I think I'm moving to Canada.. f_ckers.

Maybe the postal worker took the maps and the check and are now living in Canada under an assumed Identity.
