Saw that on the news, but not the video, just heard him talking.

That's the downfall of homeschooling. If he went to public school, he would have had that arrogant attitude beat out of him by now, and could be on his way to being a productive member of society.

not trying to be too rude or anything but is there something wrong with him?

then again i guess if your social levels are low its possible you may have trouble dealing with in depth conversation with those you are not familiar with..

i cant tell, after watching it a few times i think im leaning toward the ladder of the two..

I get the sense of a retardation.

Also, having been home-schooled myself and in the public school system a short time as well, its public schools that are the issue. Cause public school kids would have picked on him for being retarded. Quite simply he has been trained to listen to words and spell them. Question will be can he do anything else in the future?

you know, if he was in public school and could socialize, he probably wouldnt SEEM so retarded, and wouldnt have been picked on. right off the bat hes like "did you say my name wrong?"...had he had interaction with people other than mom and dad, he would know to just say **** it and go on with the conversation

Sorry, but being home schooled myself, I don't see that as the reason.

Now, my wife likes "Sex and the City" and there is a line in one of the episodes where this mother says (of her son) "my son is a god and I tell him that every day"

I think that might have been the contributing factors are being at home with a mother that praises her son too much, and with a son that definitely has some sort of mental handicap.
