I need to get new muffler for a low price and was wondering if a Vibrant STREETPOWER Flat Black Muffler 2.25" Ctr In/Out would fit an 06 elantra gt?

Yes, that one will fit just fine. Just make sure you get the Center In/Center Out one. They do have an offest version, and you don't want that. The 2.25" will need to be welded, unless you plan to go 2.25" exhaust pipe from the cat back, and then it can be either welded or clamped on.

BTW, I've been eyeing that muffler for a long time, and have been interested in getting it. However, I'm chicken trying new products such as that without previously hearing it. So, you be the guinea pig for it and don't forget to post up sound clips when you are done.

i was researching this muffler (and the dual tip one as well) a year or two ago....

seemed really popular on the honda boards.... but then again.. that doesn't really say much.

but the best price i've seen is $99..... as high as $130.

I might bite the money bullet and spend the $150 on the dual tip.

^ They already have tips for those mufflers. They are their "stealth" version of mufflers, the tips and muffler are painted/powdercoated flat black. Why waste money on a muffler with a tip if you are just going to whack it off and add a different one. It would be better to buy a Magnaflow and the tip of your choice, and pay less or the same.

sorry I shoulda elaborated I know their flat black stealth mufflers have tips, which i was originally thinking of getting, but if i find a nice tip to add to their street power (non black w/o tip) i'll get that one. I don't like the tips they currently have. <-- if that made sense?

Okay, now you make sense. I understand, those tips are straight and angle cut, no bling to them.

Their mufflers seem to be pretty good. Hell, there were advertisements for them on banners at the Orlando Speedway in, well, Orlando, FL. They are coming up in the world to contend with the likes of Magnaflow and Flowmaster. And they are Canadian I believe, so they have that going for them.
