Well, I tried my hand at making some glare shields. I don't know how they will work yet, because the only thing I have tested them with is an incandescent bulb. I will see how they act with the Real Deal later this week.

I think they are going to work pretty well though. If they do, I can make more and sell them to whoever needs them.

Pretty decent. What material did you use? Or maybe you don't want to let your secret out?

That's a pretty good effort though, they look very similar to the other ones that used to be for sale here, and the cut off (though those are your stocker bulbs, like you said) seems to be pretty good.

Get your HID's in and take a pic so we can see what it looks like, and it's effects. I may be interested.

They are made out of aluminum. Thin sheet metal. I got it from a friend of mine that runs a body shop.

Any chance you are going to make more?

Whats your price and such? I need a set of 2, one of my car and one for the fiance's car.

I have a pair of HID glare shields, and Im about to order the HIDs. So you actually install the shields on the lower part of the bulb/headlight? This keeps it from projecting to far into the air?

^ Inside the headlight socket, we already have a "glare" shield. What you will do is unsrew the phillips screw holding that shield in there.

Hold on to it, and don't let it fall into the headlight. Insert the HID Glare Shield into the socket, and screw both of them down with that phillips screw.

Just make sure you orientate the new shield in the same direction as the OEM one in the socket.

^^^

Correct. The new shield is just a supplement to the existing one.
