The wife and I cruised down Sunday and came back today. My step father and mom have a beach house on the CT shore w/ private beach, horse shoe pits, hot tub ect.... Anyway, great place to cruise and chill for a couple days when I don't have much cash and don't feel like driving too far.
The house:

wow i can't wait top get back down to the beach this summer. i'm gonna hit up the smithsonian on my way down. and maybe the dc zoo for the kids. but mos' def the smith. iv'e wanted to go there since i was like 5 and am making it happen this year.......also i got a local car museum i wanna check out with all kinds of cool stuff I.E. the delorean from bttf, the beetle from herby, the car bonnie and clyde were killed in, one of the very first cars from dukes of hazzard and quite a few cars that only saw one year of production and all for only 5 dollars. it's funny this museum has been around since the day i was born and i've never been there. the storage wharehouse is a block away from me and i skate in their lot all the time. and the museum is only like a 10 minute drive. I had plans to go with my grandfather in-law but he passed away a few weeks before it opened back up for the season. he actually owned 14 of the cars they have on display now..

Yeah, Ct has a bunch of shore line museums and steam train rides and what not too (not to mention Mohegian Suns, one of the countries largest casino's and a 20 min. ride from the beach house) but this trip was all about getting a few days to just relax.

Cool place. Must be nice to have a place like that to go whenever you want.

Yeah. Step father only asks that I come back and help him winterize it in return for using it. This is a huge change from when I was a kid. Vacation for us used to be pitching a tent in the middle of the north woods and catching our own trout for dinner. It's nice to have such a cool step dad and more vacation options as an adult.

Two comments:
1. Do you feel pretty with bubbles all around you like that?
2. I have the same faucet set in my kitchen sink.

Hahaha! My wife was previously in there w/ me but got out to snap a pic and a video that I would never post for the simple fact that I would never hear the end of it. Anyway, she put a small amount of bubbles in there not realizing that once the jets were on they would multiply about 10 fold. As for the faucet, not my choice to make. The house was a loaner.
P.S.- and so what if I like to feel pretty from time to time. Think every hard working man deserves to be pampered;)

My idea of being pampered usually involves a tool box and/or a beer.
But if that makes you happy, we're all happy for you. :abovelol:

The beer I can do. You hand me a tool box, it better be full of kitchen knives or i'm not gonna know what to do w/ it.
and a big thank you do Doohicky for always having a comeback :D
