motorcycle headlights?

anyone ever see those weird blue/yellow/green tint lights on street bikes that look strange, almost like they're lit via gas?

ive seen blue but i got no clue what they are
my dad has a headlight that fluxuates in brightness.. it kinda sucks when hes tailing you casue it looks like someone is flicking their highbeems on and off constantly.. but its way safer for bikes casue when they only have one small headlight it can be hard to see em

also on this note i saw a bike yesterday at night with his turn signals removed and his headlight was out and he was on a busy road! can you WTF!!??

I saw a guy last night, he was behind me. every time he moved the light blurred in my eyes, it had this strange tint to it. I've seen them before and want to find out if they make automotive bulbs like that!

apparently these are called "plasma blue ion" bulbs

they have tints of blue, green, gold and white, and are much brighter... hmm
